Wii Gets its Rightful URL at Last!
Rather than share the common Nintendo name to link to the new console, Nintendo Wii can finally have its own space on the web with Nintendo’s purchase of the wii.com URL.
The URL http://www.wii.com used to be owned by Weyerhaeuser Company, which was primarily a forestry industry related to selling timber, paper, and other materials. They’ve apparently sold it, however, as the link currently leads to a blank page, and Weyerhaeuser already has another website up.
Check it often, as you never know when they’ll actually finish building the site. It should be good!
