Wii Golf hole-in-one glitch?

Apparently, being a pro-golfer in Wii Sports is easier than we may all think, as this video by brianfaber1 seems to prove.

If one is to watch closely, the Wii golfer in the video was able to score a fantastic hole-in-one during his first round, without the ball actually going in the hole. From the looks of it, the shot should have at least maybe taken a couple of more putts, but the machine seemed to be intent on giving players a jubilant feeling that it declared the shot an instant victory despite clearly being off.

Could this be the equivalent of the 91-pin strike, or is this just some form of minor glitch? Or is the console just being possessed by the spirit of a myopic caddy in this case?
