Wii stock re-stock: more units for UK

Wii.. engage! - Image 1UK/Europe seems to be getting a re-stock of Wii consoles this week. While a lot of people know that the units are pretty hard to come by, who ever said that they were actually out of stock to begin with? Apparently, GAME told SPOnG that the Wii would be “back in stock” and this statement seemed to confuse SPOnG. They tried to follow it up with Nintendo, and whether or not the issue is of the Wii going out of stock or not, they reassure that they’ve “been shipping in as many as we can on a regular basis.”

Upon further questioning of GAME’s announcement, Nintendo replies that they never really gotten any shipment that was “over and above what we usually get in [allotment units].” Still not comfortable with this, SPOnG called up GameStation and confirmed that their chain would be getting a total of 3,000 Wii units this week and that pre-orders are ready to be filled.

Well, despite all the confusion, the point here is that UK will be getting a re-stock of more Wii units, whether as planned and allotted or not.
