WiiMote Component Production Up
PixArt Imaging says that they are now on track to ship one million chips for the sensor in the WiiMote by August! ATI’s chips have also seen a surge in production.
With production of this product going up, Nintendo just might be on track to launch the Wii much earlier than the PlayStation 3. Nintendo says they’ll have two million units of the Wii ready for this holiday season with another four million for the first three months of 2007. That October date looks more and more possible every day!
