Wii’s Mystery Flap Revealed

FlapMuch buzz has been going around on the Internet about the Wii’s ‘mystery flap’ on the front of the console. Speculation on what’s behind it ranges from a projector to ports for retro controllers. Sadly, many people have forgotten to think of the obvious. In a recent Game Informer interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, the obvious was officially stated…

GI: What is the little door on the front of the unit?

Fils-Aime: That is where an SD card goes. ThatÂ’s storable media. And on
top, are the attachments for the GameCube controllers.

GI: So will SD cards be the primary storage medium?

Fils-Aime:It will be one of the memory mediums, and itÂ’s the only one
that weÂ’ve announced.

No 3-D hologram projector in there! I was hoping for a ‘pleasure-port.’ But wait, Fils-Aime said, “one of the memory mediums”. So what are the other memory medium not announced? I guess we’ll have to hang on to our seats until new info comes our way. Once QJ gets new on what Fils-Aime is not telling us, we’ll let you know. Meanwhile, if you do have a Game Informer account, read the full interview by clicking the link below.
