Will Burnout 5 Burn Rubber on the Wii?
Burnout is Nintendo’s car racing game for the DS (as Burnout Legends) and Game Cube and if this rumor is correct – and sometimes rumors are – the game could be zooming on the Wii as well. According to a German site called nFreaks Burnout 5 is currently gearing up for Wii.
Originally a ps2“>PS2 title, Burnout is a high-speed, reckless races through crowded cities. The goal is to beat three computer-controlled cars using a vehicle chosen by the player. Naturally, winning the race also means not crashing into hundreds of cars lining up the busy urban streets. That requires skills such as as weaving in and out of oncoming traffic and speeding through busy intersections. Near-misses are actually good as players are rewarded with points in their Boost Meter.
When full, the Boost Meter can be used to provide momentary bursts of speed. Crashes are spectacular with realistic damage physics including cars roll, flip, spin and shattering windows. Each crash carries a price: the monetary value of the amount of damage caused to all vehicles involved in the accident.
Now there’s a game that would really play well on the Wii! But like we said, at this point, Burnout 5 is just a rumor.
