World Tour Golf for PSP renamed ProStroke Golf

ProStroke Golf

I know what your thinking – another Golf game for the PSP? Well, your wrong. Oxygen Interactive have decided to change the name of World Tour Golf for the PSP to ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007. The name change comes after gaming circles have applauded the game’s groundbreaking control mechanic, ProStroke, which will make it one of the most realistic Golf games out there compared to whats already on the market.  Oxygen Interactive felt the name change will suit a more worldwide audience, as World Tour Golf was a more European title.

Although it may cause temporary confusion, Oxygen Interactive are confident in their choice and know that as in sport they must play to their strengths. Oxygen’s CEO Jim Scott said: ‘Continuing with a generic name that had started as a working title short-changed the game. Pro Stroke Golf, on the other hand, puts the game’s greatest feature right into the title, and makes it clear why this is the most interesting golf title this decade.’
