WoW: Fishing bug found in Tanaris

Here’s an interesting game glitch you guys may be experiencing in World of Warcraft‘s fishing scene. As Corynne reported over at the forums, there appears to be a bug where fishers in the Tanaris area weren’t picking up any catches.

The poster further explained that the game registered skill ups after every six to seven casts with the rod. Blizzard spokesman Nethaera dropped by with a clear explanation for what’s going on:

There is currently a known issue with fishing where players in some ocean areas are unable to catch fish. The areas are limited to ocean waters in the 40-50 level range, including places like Feralas and Tanaris. Fishing nodes will still function normally.

This will be fixed with the 2.2 patch tomorrow.

There you have it. While there’s much to look forward to come Patch 2.2.0’s upload tomorrow – this expected fix being one of them – we do advise players to keep an eye out for any unexpected bugs that might pop up.
