WoW priests find fault with Before the Storm

WoW PriestAnd the list of issues for WoW‘s latest patch, Before the Storm, continues to get longer. Don’t accuse us of creating bad publicity for this MMO monster as these problems are being reported by fans themselves. If there are good news to report, of course, we bring them up too.

Moving on, priests are now questioning what Blizzard has done with the skill Circle of Healing. Accordingly, these are the new stats needed to acquire the said skill:

Circle of Healing Rank 5: Requires level 70, 600 mana, 475-525 healing; Heals target party member and other party members within 15 yards of the target.

To be quite frank, these numbers are a bit off when compared to the old ones. Take for example, level and skill impact. Before, a rank 5 CoH would only be needing a level 60 priest and impact will be at around 1041-1099 healing. We really can’t blame the fans if they feel like their priests are useless as of the moment.

Blizzard employee Drysc, on the other hand, quickly responded to the issue. According to him:

To equalize some of that ability the healing potency isn’t as strong as a normal prayer of healing maybe, but I don’t think it’s anything to be scoffed at either. I would be surprised if the talent was completely overlooked in strategies for future dungeons and encounters, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was relied on for more than a few.

While that was quite lengthy, I believe that he didn’t quite address the problem. It’s a good thing the skill we are talking about here is an instant one, just imagine if this is an acquired skill. A steep mana with a weak impact…WoW! That certainly would bring back the protesters.
