WoW PTR updates: New mage season 2 gear stats and new flasks

World of Warcraft - Mage Season 2 gear - Image 1 MMO-Champion’s Boubouille was quick to post the changes made to the mage Arena Season 2 gear. We checked out the said stat changes and found that they were indeed as the thread title indicated – “less QQ, more pewpew”.

As we can see from the image Boubouille provided (new stats on the left, old on the right), the armor and the stats were changed favorably. The armor numbers were lowered and stats like stamina and intellect were buffed significantly. Some pieces of the Merciless Gladiator’s Regalia have buffed bonuses to spell critical strike rate and resilience rating. The new set will probably prove to be very useful to the mages.

Along with the mage Arena Season 2 gear, Boubouille also included the new flasks – assumed to be a replacement to the Flask of Arcane Fortification and Flask of Shadow Fortification. The flasks were given an upgrade and are called Flask of Blinding Light and Pure Death.

The stats and the flasks were taken from Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft Public Test Realm, currently on patch 2.2.0.
