WoW update: Fear Ward, and Shattrath’s AH

Aside from the previously discussed attention druids will be getting in World of Warcraft‘s patch 2.3, there’s more in store for priests and Shattrath city’s residents.

The first matter we’ll be discussing is a bit of good news for Horde members, as Blizz spokesman Gandraor stated that there are definitely plans to implement Fear Ward for all priests. The bad news is we may be in for a very long wait – the blue-texter further said that it wasn’t to be implemented before the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

At the moment, the Fear Ward spell is unique to Dwarven and Draenei priests, effectively making it an Alliance exclusive.

The second matter deals with Shattrath City’s Auction House, or rather its lack of. Nethaera recently reiterated on Blizzard’s stance on why they don’t plan to implement one for the Outlands-based city:

I’m sorry, but we don’t have any plans to add an Auction House to Shattrath. We like that people need to interact with others still in Azeroth when visiting the Auction Houses there. We feel that the portals in Shattrath are a great way for people to travel back to Azeroth and that using a hearth stone is a legitimate way to travel back to Outland.

If you plan out your travels well, they should be going relatively smoothly.

As the lady said, consider the opportunity to travel back to Azeroth’s AHs a  chance to mingle with the crowd. Who knows – you just might make a couple of news friends.
