Xbox 360: The Official Xbox Magazine gets Halo makeover

The Official Xbox Magazine - OXM from Future Publishing - Image 1 In the spirit of its upcoming third year on newsstands, Xbox 360: The Official Xbox Magazine or OXM will be sporting a new look for its latest issue. The said issue just so happened to contain the mag’s Halo 3 review, and if the cover isn’t enough, it also comes with a double sided poster.

Check the image to the right and you’ll see how much of an overhaul OXM’s cover went through. It isn’t too shabby as there is less clutter and more Master Chief. So what else is new with the mag? According to the press release, OXM’s editor of two years, Steve Brown will be leaving the magazine though he will still popping up once in a while as a freelancer.

Anyway, here’s what Emma Parkinson, Associate Editor for OXM had to say about the makeover:

With Official Xbox Magazine about to spend its third Christmas in the market, we decided it was time for UK’s best-selling games magazine to get a new look. The console’s matured over this period, and we wanted to make sure that the magazine reflected this. Our readers have different demands now, especially since the range of games available is so vast, so the challenge was to meet the demands of these gamers while still ensuring that the magazine remains welcoming to people who have only just bought their 360, or who will be buying their first Xbox this Christmas.

OXM is currently on its 26th issue, jampacked with reviews on Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, and Virtua Fighter 4, plus BioShock tips among others.
