Xbox 360 washed out VGA fix for 2405fpw

There’s a post over at the Guru3D forums that details a fix for the 2405fpw, washed out VGA problems that your Xbox 360 might run into.

The post’s author, joeydoo, says that his instructional fix should work with a variety of Dell displays and some Samsung displays as well. He does warn though that if you mess with the service menu willy-nilly you might break your screen, so you better write down all the setting values you see before you attempt to play around with it (assuming your screen doesn’t have a return to default settings function).

The fix involves making a black JPEG and a white JPEG big enough to fill the display, and then adjusting the settings to get rid of the “washed-out-ness.” When all the adjustments are done, joeydoo claims that you should have better colors and blacks on your display, than with the component cable with pin sharp 1080p.
