Microsoft today announced a change in the Xbox Live Code of Conduct allowing users to freely express their sexual orientation on their Gamertags.

The new policy now allows gamers to put the following relationship info on their profiles or Gamertags: Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Straight. Other terms (whatever those are) outside of the aforementioned ones aren’t allowed.

The policy follows up with this warning: “In addition you may not use these terms or any other terms regarding relationship orientation to insult, harass, or any other pejorative use against other users.”

The exact change can be viewed under the “What you cad do” section in the source link.
