Xenomorph goes splat: new Aliens vs. Predator screenshots
The war between the Xenomorphs and the Predators rages on, and thanks to the combined efforts of both Sierra Entertainment and Rebellion Developments, we can easily take part on the go with Aliens vs. Predator for the Sony PlayStation Portable. It’s time to use all the ridiculously-cool armory that all predators are kitted out with on those sneaky, double-mouthed aliens, and we see all the action in full with these new screenshots.
While the movie franchise itself is already quite old, the fact remains that the concept of the shrieking, spindly-bodied aliens duking it out with heavily-armored predators sporting dreadlocks will always be cool. These screenshots, which depict some awesome-looking gameplay of the title itself, is proof of that. The predator we’ll be controlling looks suitably armed to take out a horde of Xenomorphs all by his lonesome, and the Xenomorphs themselves are still scary as hell.
One thing we’d really like though, besides being able to play as an alien in the game, is a next-gen remake of that side-scrolling beat-em-up on the arcade made by Capcom. It doesn’t have to be 3D, just updated 2D sprites and more enemies to shoot at. That’d certainly rock.
