Zack and Wiki gets delayed in Europe

Via Go Nintendo, we’ve just found out that Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure has also been delayed and slated for a January 18, 2008 release date in Europe.

The reason, according to Capcom and Nintendo, is that they want to release this game with the best coverage possible so as to get the reception the game deserves.

Via Go Nintendo, we’ve just found out that Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure has also been delayed and slated for a January 18, 2008 release date in Europe.

Capcom released an official statement on the matter, which has been translated and fixed by Go Nintendo, below:

Nintendo and Capcom have both decided to launch this game early 2008 to ensure that this great title is given to both the marketing and media coverage it deserves. Nintendo wants to deliver this product at the right time and we hope that the decision to delay will not sadden too many Wii owners.

In any event, while the delay certainly does put a damper on gamers’ expectations for the game, we certainly hope that the delay will make the game even better than it was before.
