Character bios for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

After unleashing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance‘s new heroes and villains on the Xbox Live from Activision, let’s get to know them a little bit more, one by one. We have here today the Character Bios for each of them, so this ought to give you a lot of help with dealing with them.

The Hulk - Image 1 The Hulk:
His real name is Robert “Bruce” Banner, and he is known for a lot of aliases, including Annihilator, Captain Universe, Joe Fixit, and Mechono to name a few. This mean, green machine used to be a nuclear physicist. Depending upon the levels of his emotional stress, his powers grow in proportion. Yep, the greener he gets, the more angry he is. So, no weapons needed for this guy. Just disposition and emotions.

Hawkeye - Image 1Hawkeye:
He’s yet to come out of the superheroes closet, but Hawkeye’s human personality is named Clinton Francis “Clint” Barton. He used to be a carnival performer, security chief, and also had his time being the bad guy as a criminal. Actually, he’s got no superpowers to boast of, but he does use gasses designed by Hank Pym so he can stretch his height, and proportioned to that, increases in strength and toughness. He is also considered to be a world-class archer, as well as an excellent marksman. Unsurprisingly, his weapons of choice would then have to be the bow and arrow.

Cyclops - Image 1 Cyclops:
We all know Cyclops to be the boyfriend of Jean Grey. Scott Summers, as he is known in the human society, is the co-headmaster of Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. For those of you who don’t know, he is actually a former radio announcer. Of course, as you may all know, he possesses the ability to project a beam of force from his eyes. Measuring the beam’s effective range will give you the distance of 2,000 feet. Cyclops has to have his special eyewear made of ruby quartz lenses as he can’t shut off the beams, so to speak, due to a head injury.

The complete characters profile await after the jump.

Nightcrawler:
Nightcrawler - Image 1He is the resident teleporter in the Ultimate Alliance gang. Nightcrawler, otherwise known as Kurt Wagner, has generally no problems teleporting north south along the magnetic lines of force of Earth. But be warned that east west teleporting can pose some problems for him, as vertical teleporting is more difficult for him. However, given the perfect conditions, Nightcrawler can successfully teleport two miles east west, three miles north south, and two miles vertically “if he exerts himself.”

What most people probably don’t know about him is that he is actually a master at fencing, as well as an Olympic-class acrobat. He used to have a pair of swords,  but he has discarded them already.

Dr. Doom - Image 1 Dr. Doom:
Victor Don Doom is a monarch of Latveria and possesses the power of exchanging minds with others. A rather dangerous power, especially if you’re on the other end of the line. He is also into invoking mystical entities and casting bolts of eldritch energy. Ever the genius, he dabbles in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, biochemistry, and time travel.

Magneto:
Magneto - Image 1 He shares an odd love-hate relationship with the X-Men’s headmaster, Professor X. Not to be overshadowed by his bestfriend/worst enemy, though, Magneto has made a name for himself in the mutant world through his power of magnetism. His powers, however, are not limited to attracting pots and pans, cars and other shiny knick-knacks. He can also manipulate any form of energy that is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as manipulate gravitons to have an anti-gravity field. Magneto’s helmet serves as his protection against telepathic intrusion or psionic attacks, like the ones Dr. Doom may unleash.

Venom - Image 1Venom:
aka Mac Gargan is described as having “the intellectual skills of an average detective, though he is mentally unstable.” It is probably because of this unstable mental condition that he turns out to be rather clingy. Literally, that is. He can cling on any surface, “block Spider-Man’s spider-sense”, and even blend in with the background. Oh, and lifting 45 tons is a zilch for him, too. I guess having a lot of issues works for him.

Sabertooth:
Sabertooth - Image 1 A “victim” of genetic mutation and artificial enhancement, Sabretooth is similar to Wolverine in the way that he possesses an accelerated healing power. It is also because of this that he is highly resistant, probably even immune, to all sorts of disease. Another thing that likens him to Wolverine is the presence of the virtually indestructible alloy, Adamantium.
