Logitech G27 accidentally confirmed at Codemasters Forums
A slip up at the Codemasters community forums led to the “unveiling” of the new Logitech G27. The Community Manager mistakenly listed in the G27 as part of the controllers and wheels list that DiRT 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS and PSP) supposedly supports. Predictably so, the post was immediately edited, but not before one determined reader, Homerfreak, took a screencap of it for proof.

Now, GTPlanet is saying that they can “independently verify their authenticity for now.” They did not give anything else to substantiate on that, but they did say that we might as well watch out for the development of these wheels, cos it’s just too probable that it will be coming out roughly the same time as (the Ohgwawd-is-it-ever-gonna-get-here) Gran Turismo 5. You know, cos they’re oober close with Polyphony Digital too.
Anyhow, while specs for these peripherals are in no way confirmed absolutely, here are a couple of things you might as well expect to see, so they say:
- Thicker steering wheel.
- 6 buttons on the wheel.
- Shift indicator lights
Pictures, anyone? Am sure.
