Macro teleport bugs on 2.1 start bugging people

Certain players on Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft have been reporting a few problems with running macros since the new patch. A recent one, was the teleportation/portal problem.

Tuhljin posted this command line “/cast [nomodifier] Teleport: Shattrath; Portal: Shattrath” on the forums and said that it’s not working for him. Now this problem has been the subject of a lot of conjecture since the code seems to be working fine for other users including Blizzard Poster/Forum Moderator Slouken.

If you’re experiencing the same problem, here are a few fixes that you could try before reporting it to Blizzard. First off, you could check your macro listing and look at the command lines immediately before and after it. The order of the command lines are very important and some of the code from other parts of the macro might be affecting it. Second, check to see if it works without add-ons. While useful, some add-ons are notorious for messing up one’s macro code.

Still, if you’ve tried all that and it still doesn’t work, then a friendly message to Blizzard might be in order. Alternatively, you could post on the WoW forums to ask some help from more experienced players and moderators of the game. Be sure to keep checking back here for more news on World of Warcraft.
