What’s in the Grab Bag this Week?

Grab BagThis week’s Dark Ages of Camelot Grab Bag is surely about setting the records straight. Reach inside with minds open to learning and change. We guarantee, it’s a game-altering experience. To borrowing MTV‘s Diary of famous tags – You think you know? You have no idea.

First up is Red Daddy’s response to a query about how Realm Points work and how they are determined. To which he concisely answered:

The Knowledge Base article is correct in broad strokes. Here’s the breakdown from the code:

  • Figure out who all had a hand in killing the target and how much they ( or their group ) contributed
  • Figure out how much the target was worth max
    • This takes level, realm rank, Champion Level and Master level into account
  • Based on your level and those of the other attackers vs. that of the target and your ( or your groupÂ’s ) contribution, figure out how many RPs you will get
  • Apply any relic, population or other bonuses
  • Award the result

Note the following:

  • If your target was recently killed she may be worth reduced or no RPs
  • If you have used a corpse summoner recently, you cannot gain RPs
  • If the target is too far below you in level, you do not gain RPs
  • If the target took too much PvE damage compared to PvP damage, you will not gain RPs
  • If you were recently killed, you will earn reduced RPs
  • If you are dead, you will receive reduced RPs

Second, is Designing Goddess shedding light on the issues of being unable to summon mounts while in Shade Form. She says that you can summon mounts even in Shade Form by riding around as the ghost with your mount right on your tail. However, the Shades of Mist “shade form” puts you into combat, which disallows you from summoning a mount.

Does Dex/Quick have any effect on Vampiir Parry/Evade rates? This the question that will test a friendship, because he goes on to ask, “Is he telling the truth or just making things up?” Good thing it was explained in full or else.

There are also other questions that have been raised like the cost of repairing a Winged Helm and if the drop rate for the abrogo stones in PoC with the new patch, which you can read further by clicking on the read link below this article.
