Nintendo Wii Finder: admit it, sometimes you need help

Because I gotta get my Wii, but I'm too lazy to look around.

Are you feeling lonely? Alone? Do you wish you had company for the coming holidays? … because you weren’t able to get your Wii at Launch? (What did you think this was, a freaky smut-talk phone line ad?). This is what the people behind the PlayStation Finder have come to resolve with Nintendo Wii Finder, which provides the exact same service for the Wii-less that they provide to the PS3-less.

Just like the PS Finder, Wii Finder will scour the Internet like Andre the Giant cleaning his pans with iron wool (that sounds… painful), looking for a sign that somewhere, some vendor has put a Wii up for sale. And when it gets that sign, it will hit everyone who’s signed up with an alert email that has the link to said vendor.

Given that there are more Wiis going around than the PS3, availability shortages may not sound like much of an issue, but as the Wii Launch Day bears witness, hot demand through the season nevertheless can suck a bog pool dry. So this, as well as Yahoo!’s own Wii Finder, may find some heavy usage past Thanksgiving and before Christmas. We’re just wondering if the Wii Finder can also locate those hidden Wiis at Best Buy
