Prometeus v0.9.6B – now with compression!

Yes, I Can't Believe This Isn't Windows Either!

Mac OS X users need not fret about missing all the syrupy PSP homebrew goodness (not to mention Popstation) with Dago^WATT and Prometeus on the case. The previous two versions we’ve featured here opened Mac users to a whole world of classic PSOne games – their classic PSOne games – on their PSPs, so here comes v0.9.6B to brighten up that world even more, as the homebrew program now features ISO compression!

Which brings us to the next question: does this mean that the files generated are meant for use with 3.03 OE-A (which supports file compression)? Dago^WATT didn’t mention anything in his website whether this means that his users may now have to upgrade to the latest in custom firmware, or if the generated files could still be used in 3.02 OE-B (which doesn’t support compressed ISOs). Nothing is mentioned in the Readme either. Uh-oh… we hope the guy releases a clarificatory statement later on.

In any case, here’s the file for you to play around with, and if you happen to understand Hungarian, then feel free to swing by Dago^WATT’s page for more information.

Thanks for the tip, Kichigai Mentat!
