PS3 Devil May Cry 4 has 20 minute install time

Can’t wait to get your hands on Capcom‘s Devil May Cry 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC)? Well, if you’re picking up the PlayStation 3 version of the game, be advised that you will have to wait around 20 minutes to install the game before you can actually try the game out.

Much to the delight of gamers everywhere, Capcom has finally released Devil May Cry 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC).

Reports have come in though that even with the game’s release, PS3 owners will still have to wait around 20 minutes to install the game before they can play it.

Apparently, the PlayStation 3 version of the game installs almost 5 Gigabytes of game data on the hard disk. According to website CVG though, this installation makes no big difference to the load times when compared to the Xbox 360 version of the title.

So far Capcom has been pretty quiet about the issue and has not given an explanation on the long installation process of the game. We suspect it might have something to do with the game’s coding and compatibility with the PlayStation 3 architecture but we can’t confirm that unless Capcom gives us something more substantial.
