Malekith, leader of the dark elf faction in EA Mythic's Warhammer Online - Image 1With heavy support coming in behind EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, gamers now have a new reason to “geek-gasm” over the game as a spokesperson recently revealed that its open beta phase will begin in Europe this summer.

While the actual game will still take some time before it goes live, the open beta should give fans a pleasant eye opener for all the initial features and MMO goodness the title has to offer.

Unfortunately, European publisher GOA mentioned that it will only be releasing 55,000 pre-ordered copies of the Warhammer Online Collector’s Edition, which will contain access to the open beta. Considering there were around half a million beta applicants who subscribed for the close beta, getting your hands on a copy of the game and try out the open beta won’t be an easy task.
