Achievement Updates on Test Drive Unlimited

TDU

Much has been said about this game from Atari due out this summer. Although, the featured cars may steal the show, the core component is gameplay. In this article we will touch on achievements within the game.

Test Drive Unlimited boasts of more or less 46 different achievements. There are a lot of ways on how to earn these achievements. The best part is you can do so without even plugging in your Ethernet. Nine of these achievements can be unlocked through bringing home gold medals in single-player time, race and speed challenges. Another four by successfully completing missions such as helping drop dead gorgeous supermodels get to their destination without unruffling their numerous shopping bags or delivering packages within strict time limits.

A tourist achievement is possible by driving distances of 30, 200, 400, 1,000, and 5,000 miles during your time on the island. And if you’ve travelled all the roads in the island, you gain explorer achievement. Of course, there’s also the most obvious of the lot which is the collector achievement, where you’d have to be the proud owner of the most luxurious vehicles like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, Ford and Chevrolet. This achievement is not only limited to cars but extends to bikes and clothing.

And what is a racing game without achievements gained through making other players eat your dust. Victories in ranked multiplayer races are good for three achievements, and after unlocking an achievement for creating or joining an online car club, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock another one by winning three interclub competitions. And if you’re feeling creative, you can unlock another achievement by sharing three custom challenges that you’ve designed.

Are you ready to race yet? This game developed by Eden Games, will retail for $59.99 and is Atari’s saving grace.
