It’s the end of another fiscal year for companies, which is why they’ve been busy noting the cashflow, revenues and losses over the last quarter period and the previous fiscal year. This time, it’s Activision‘s turn at the bat.

According to the report, things are looking up for Activision. For the fiscal year that ended last March 31, 2008, the company received net revenues amounting to US$ 2.9 billion. Net income for the same period was pegged at US$ 344.9 million.

For the fourth quarter that also ended last March 31, Activision reported net revenues of US$ 602.5 million and a net income of US$ 44.2 million.  The net revenues clearly exceeded both the predicted Q4 guidance and estimated figures of analyst Michael Pachter.

Activision’s success has been attributed to best-selling titles Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC) and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). Company CEO and Chairman Bobby Kotick said that fiscal year 2008 was “the best year in our history.” He also said that Q4 was “the largest and most profitable holiday quarter, even though we did not release any new titles.
