American McGee delivers more creepy with a new Alice game

Electronic Arts keeps scoring major points with me lately. The studio is revisiting their 2000 creepy classic, American McGee’s Alice. They’re making a new game based on the franchise and will be releasing it for the consoles. Check out awesome artwork after the link.

Electronic Arts keeps scoring major points with me lately. The studio is revisiting their 2000 creepy classic, American McGee’s Alice.

Here’s a brief sum up for those  who weren’t able to experience this refreshingly disturbing new take on Lewis Carroll’s classic. AM’s Alice is set after Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.

In the real world, her house burned down, taking her parents’ lives. She suffers survivor’s guilt and tries to commit suicide. She is then locked up as a crazy in an asylum.

Now imagine Wonderland. Only insane. That’s AM’s Alice.

EA and Spicy Horse hooked up and will be making a new game based on the franchise. They didn’t provide details on whether it’s a remake or a sequel though. What we do know is that it will be released for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC. I have high hopes for this game. I mean, just check out that concept art. Whoa.
