Another WoW patch 2.0.7 bug: boss buffs

King Ikiss - Image 1If you guys think World of Warcraft‘s patch 2.0.7 is just for the players, think again. There is an ongoing discussion by some WoW players, and it deals with the unannounced boss buffs that Blizzard apparently forgot to mention in their last patch changelog. Here are some of the more interesting examples:

  • Talon King Ikiss (him on the right), the Sethekk Halls boss, has been reported to have developed an immunity to most interruptions. Players are reported to be very unhappy over this new buff, as Ikiss’ notoriously painful AoE spell is now harder to evade.
  • Illhoof, the Karazhan boss, also received new buffs in way of improved damage for his Shadowbolt spell, and a heavier-hitting Imp.
  • Lastly, Maiden of Virtue, another Karazhan boss, received a boost in her repentance spell, albeit this was a minor buff compared to the other two bosses.

For now, we’ll just have to wait for an official response from Blizzard (probably by way of their forums spokespeople), and plan out an alternate strategy for the likes of King Ikiss – some vets recommend hiding behind pillars to avoid his AoE’s line of sight. Any of you guys experience similar incidents like this?
