Assassin’s Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) is still due for a November 17 release, but already we’re talking about its ending, and according to its creative director Patrice Désilets, we won’t see it coming and it’s gonna be one hell of a cliffhanger.

“I’m telling you. At the end of AC2 you’ll say‚ ‘Holy crap, I never saw it coming,” he said, adding that you’ll go, “But what happens next?!” right after. Désilets says that despite answering a lot of questions revolving the plot, Assassin’s Creed 2 will still leave some more room to leave us wanting more. “There will be a cliffhanger,” he admitted. “It’s cool to have a cliffhanger,” he added.

And about the glowing writing on the wall, Désilets confirms that it has nothing to do with AC2. “It has nothing to do with Assassin’s Creed II, what’s written on the wall has to do with the Assassin’s Creed universe, not the second one,” he said.

Seeing as Assassin’s Creed is a trilogy, it makes perfect sense to set the last part up.
