Bethesda VP: no Fallout 3 demo

Pete Hines, Fallout 3 - Image 1Pete Hines, Bethesda‘s Vice President of public relations and marketing, has given out some sad news for gamers who are looking forward to try Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) before it comes out. He said that the game will not have a demo. To find out what he had to say, head on over to the full article.

Fallout 3 - Image 1Much to our and other gamers’ disappointment, Bethesda‘s Vice President of public relations and marketing Pete Hines has announced that there will be no demo for their upcoming FPS-RPG hybrid Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC).

Hines said that “when you build it [Fallout 3] as one thing, there’s no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo.” He added that this is something that they’re “just not going to do.”

Of course, not providing a demo might just be for the best. Hines made a very interesting point regarding this saying that a demo “doesn’t really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout.”

This pretty much means that we’re all going to have to wait for the game’s launch date before we get to try it out. Until then, we’re going to have to satisfy our Fallout urges by either playing the first two games or going over screenshots and gameplay vids.
