Blizzard on adding minigames to World of Warcraft

Some players pointed out that a handful of other MMO games are coming up with in-game card games that serve as an alternative to players.

Now, some of them are wondering if their much beloved World of Warcraft can have the same. As we all know, Blizzard and Upperdeck have already came up with a real-life Trading Card Game for WoW and that is why Drysc is not so keen on adding that feature. The blue poster explained,

We certainly like the idea of adding mini-games, like cards, and we’ve done so already to a pretty small degree with the Darkmoon Faire. More than likely we wouldn’t use the official WoW TCG as an in-game card game, that would be kind of weird, but adding more fun mini-games and ways for players to interact is definitely always on our long term “to do” list.

To those not familiar with Darkmoon Faire, it is actually a traveling caravan led by Silas Darkmoon and Samson Leonhardt. It showcases weird and extraordinary things that can be found in Azeroth. One good example are the epic items being traded by the Darkmoon Faire to any player who has completed a set of strange cars that has been scattered around the game.
