Burger King and Xbox team up to provide games for $3.99

Sneak King

Possibly the two most unlikely affiliates have forged an alliance. Burger King has teamed up with Xbox to provide us three Xbox/Xbox 360 video games for just $3.99 each, for a limited time only starting Sunday Nov. 19. One of the three titles from the BK Xbox Game Series will be available at participating BK restaurants for a recommended price of $3.99 per game with the purchase of a Value Meal.

The 3 titles that you will be able to find at participating BK stores are Pocketbike Racer, Big Bumpin and Sneak King, all of which will be compatible with both the original Xbox and Xbox 360 systems. The titles fit into 3 different categories, racing, action and adventure (we’ll leave you to guess which title fits into which genre) and have been rated “E” for everyone so that nobody will miss out on the fun.

Jeff Bell, corporate vice president of global marketing at Microsoft said “Consumers are saying, ‘Let me have what I want, the way I want it. In essence, Xbox also is an invitation to consumers to have it their way. Our partnership with Burger King represents an irreverent new approach to this invitation thatÂ’s sure to provide a fun diversion for the whole family this holiday. Obviously we were wrong in thinking BK and Microsoft were a world apart from each other.

The games have been developed by Blitz Games, the company behind Spongebob: Creature from the Krusty Krab game for Wii and so are no strangers to the next-generation gaming market. Of course, we don’t make a habit of leaving you hanging unnecessarily here at QJ.net, and we have the latest information on the games followed by screenshots of each title for you to look at.

  • Pocketbike Racer – If you could ever imagine a Burger King version of Mario Kart then this is what it would be like. In this game you have to race against the King and his miniature motorbike friends earn enhancements and tools to use as an advantage over opponents on the way. Alongside the single player mode four players can race against each other using the game’s split-screen function, or eight players can battle it out online using XBOX Live.

Bumping - Image 1 Bumping - Image 2

  • Big BumpinÂ’ – Big BumpinÂ’ looks like a traditional bumper car ride, but don’t be too tempted to hop in just yet – thereÂ’s a catch. Of course, the game wouldn’t be that fun without some obstacles, and Big BumpinÂ’ arenas come packed with hazards such as surprise saws and bottomless pits. Don’t despair though as friendly power ups are available to help you out along the way. Like Pocketbike Racer, this game features both four-player split screen and XBOX Live support so that you can play against fellow BK gamers across the world!
  • Sneak King (main article image)– Players step into the character of the KingÂ’s in this final BK helping to  sneak up on members of the public and deliver them a delicious BK meal before they pass out from hunger. Sure Xbox Live support is lacking in this one, but would you really want to sneak up behind real people and deliver them a BK meal over the internet?
