Despite not having ulterior motives, as Nintendo Canada exec Pierre-Paul Trepanier admits, Nintendo’s still having some supply and demand problems. And who thought being too popular was bad? Nintendo was surprised with the feedback from consumers in line during console launch.

“We didn’t expect groups like families and people who haven’t played video games in a while to be suddenly be interested,” says Trepanier. “The demand has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s been hard to deal with.” Most of us aren’t quite surprised with supply issues – especially if you’ve seen the lines yourself. Good thing the next shipment for Canada arrives this Thursday or Friday.

Shipping hang-ups aside, we’ve got some info on the top-selling titles for Canada. Suprise of all surprises, Link tops the charts once again with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Retailers even report that almost all Wii units sold were purchased with the Zelda game. Second place is held by Red Steel, followed in order by Call of Duty 3, SMB: Banana Blitz, and capped by DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
