Capcom: Monster Hunter 3 Wii-exclusivity not final
According to a Capcom spokesperson, their upcoming Monster Hunter 3 may be getting some platform releases on other consoles too. In an interview with a Chinese magazine, the Capcom rep mentioned that “the decision of Monster Hunter 3‘s Wii-exclusivity is not yet final.” Which makes the PS3 a likely candidate. More so, we could also end up with another portable Monster Hunter game too, once MH3 gets released.

This conveniently makes the PS3 a likely candidate for a Monster Hunter 3 release, not only because the previous games are available on its other siblings (PS2, PSP), but more so because the third game was supposed to have been on the PS3. They had to switch to the Wii due to high PS3 development costs.
There’s now also this little thing called the Ad hoc Party. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G‘s already supporting the feature, after all. And they could follow through with it, with a Monster Hunter game on the Sony console.
Speaking of portable, the source of this news item has reason to believe that “a portable version of Monster Hunter 3” may eventually see the light of day.
