Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. March 21, 2007. 800 points. (Hopefully)
Well, that rumor that Konami‘s Castlevania: Symphony of the Night would come to Xbox Live Arcade sooner than March is down the drain, but at least we’re halfway through March and can say this. If WorthPlaying got its sources right, SOTN will hit Marketplace worldwide on XBLA Wednesday, March 21, starting 0900GMT (or 2 in the morning PDT, but are you guys going to become creatures of the night just to download this game in the first minute of release? Er, don’t answer that).
WorthPlaying also mentions an 800 Microsoft Points price listing for SOTN. On the one hand, eight hundred points for something that busts the old 50MB Arcade cap? (On the other hand, maybe the price is just for the conversion of the old-school files to XBLA format, not the actual development costs of the game, which are long sunk and paid for with SOTN‘s first release).
- Play the original version of the game or experience it in enhanced mode with improved graphics and modernized audio and sound effects
- New native widescreen and high-definition support
- Earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore points
What is a screenshot? A miserable little pile after the jump!
