Darksiders: Wrath of War announced at E3
THQ announced earlier today a new video game title for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 that has the potential to become the next big thing for both platforms. The game will be known as Darksiders: Wrath of War and is based on one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse War.
In Wrath of War, players take on the role of the horseman himself and delves into the demon-ravaged world. Part of the objective is to seek revenge as well redemption, all the while armed with a wide array of modern and mythical weaponry. THQ Executive VP of Worldwide Publishing Kelly Flock commented,
Our internal studio Vigil Games is combining proprietary next-gen gaming technology and a graphic novel visual style to bring open-world gaming to the action-adventure genre like never before.
We believe the game’s combination of a deep yet easy to control combat system, seamless open-world exploration and the artistic vision of legendary artist Joe Madureira will make Darksiders: Wrath of War a must have game in 2008.
Aside from these, there are still no other information or assets available for the title. However, those familiar with the works of Madureira probably have an idea how this game would feel and look like.
