Dungeons and Dragons: Tactics screens

Screen 1

Dungeons and Dragons: Tacticsfrom Atari is going to make its way to PSP, and it sure is getting mixed reactions from you guys:

  • Joe: Finally, somebody listened. If you’ve played any tabletop pnp or even Temple of Elemental Evil for the PC or Final Fantasy Tactics, you know how much potential this has.
  • Anonymous Coward: Looks like it could be cool, I’m hoping the graphics get a little better and the menus get easier to use.
  • rofl: Gray environments for everybody! Those are nasty graphics.

Hmmm… seems like it’s some people’s cup of tea, while others aren’t just into it. That’s cool. After all, we’re all entitled to our own opinions, right? Anyway, while we haven’t seen much from this RPG classic, we think that the PSP strategy game does show promise. Hopefully most DnD fans will like this one too.

So what is it about? As mentioned earlier, it’s a strategy game that features the regular DnD character classes: The Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard, as well as five “prestige” classes and two Psionic classes. We heard that the story revolves on two dragons’ claim to fame (you know, the same ol’ “I’m the Most Powerful Being on Earth” title?), with your character sandwiched in their conflict.

This game is set to hit shelves on February 2007, so there’s still time for you to save up for it.
