Electronic Arts dodgy on Mass Effect 2 for PS3

The question of exclusivity erupted yesterday when EA sent out a press release officially announcing Mass Effect 2, saying it was “coming to Xbox 360 and PC in early 2010.” No mention on a PS3 release anywhere in the PR. And since Microsoft has made the habit of paying off studios for exclusives lately, it won’t be surprising to find out if they managed to pull it off with Mass Effect 2.
If they have, most likely it’ll only be a timed exclusive though. The game’s too big not to release on the PlayStation 3, and EA CEO John Riccitiello has hinted before that they plan to release the game on the platform. We’ll just have to sit it out and see.
