First PS3 3D titles get downgraded graphics

According to the report, WipEout HD, which runs in a stunning 1080p, will have to settle for 720p in 3D. Not exactly the biggest drop in the eye candy-o-meter, but other games won’t have it as good. MotorStorm, for instance, will lose its 720p output to a sub-HD resolution, so it’ll have to depend on the PS3’s upscaler.

 

Then again, we have to take note that these old titles are being remade to support the new feature. Future games made specifically for 3D gaming may come out at better resolutions, so let’s cut these first few games some slack.
