Gblaster's New Rapid Fire, No Pre-Programmed Chips - Image 1GBlaster has released an updated version of his manual to mod PlayStation 3 controllers with a Rapid Fire function without needing a pre-programmed chip.

In case you missed our previous reports on it, the Rapid Fire mod only requires about US$ 12 worth of parts, some basic soldering skills, and a spare controller if you have shaky hands.

This new manual, according to GBlaster, has the following changes: “Addresses some important issues that have been brought up to me and has some clearer pictures.” You can visit our previous coverage for more info, or visit our forums via the link below to discuss the mod.

Down at the forums, GBlaster also addressed how the Rapid Fire mod will fare if you’ll put in the LED mod as well. It’s worth checking out if you plan to really pimp up your controller.
