GC 2006: Warhawk Trailer

Here is the GC 2006 trailer for Incognito’s upcoming remake of the original Warhawk video game based on the PlayStation entertainment system. Warhawk is a sci-fi third-person shooter that takes advantage of the PS3 controller’s motion sensing ability which allows the player to maneuver the aircraft by moving the controller rather than by pressing the buttons. The controller’s ability to recognize free movement allows up to six degrees of freedom which plays into Warhawk‘s flying mechanics.

Warhawk’s game engine boasts of procedurally-generated waves on the water, and volumetric clouds which are rendered in the  software and composited with the hardware-rendered elements from the rest of the scene. It has single player mode and a split-screen multiplayer mode which supports up to 32 players online. It is set to be released on 17th of November 2006, both for US and Europe.
