GDC 2007: PSP stays the same, except for it’s colors.

In the recent Game Developers Conference (GDC): Mr. John Koller, the senior product manager for Sony‘s PSP, announced that there are no redesign plans for the PSP. The rumors on the Internet that it would be redesigned have been completely debunked, so please, stop it already.

One of the major reasons cited for Sony’s reluctance to redesign the PSP is the issue of screen size. Sony will never make the screen smaller because they believe that it is one of the biggest selling points of the handheld.

Sony however, has decided to add new colors to their PSP line-up but they’re waiting for the right time to do so. Mr. Koller stated that people do purchase multiple systems, and new colors will undoubtedly make them do so.

Check out one the Champagne Gold edition that was released in Japan. Could it, and other (new) colors be coming to the US?
