Good news for Wii-starved Brits: a Wii locator site

Nintendo Wii console - Image 1In the UK, the demand for the Nintendo Wii console has gone so huge that as soon as stocks are released on retailer’s websites, they are snapped up by frustrated gamers and parents pressured to buy the perfect gift for their gaming kids.

But at least, a silver lining has appeared on many of these frustrated parents’ clouds, in the form of the website, Wii-consoles.co.uk.

This website has unusual features, such as an automated stock checking service which is updated every 60 seconds and pop-up alerts announcing the availability of consoles. To help clients beat the rush when stock becomes available, there are highlights for the best deals for consoles, games and bundled packages, and even a stock history feature for each retailer.

We checked out the website and it seems efficient enough. Those behind it has already announced that because of its success, a similar site will be constructed, this time for locating PS3 consoles, due to release this March 23 in the UK and the rest of Europe.

Does this mean that a similar shortage of the PS3 in Europe is also expected?
