The other day, Kotaku had posted screens for the PlayStation 3 exclusive Killzone 2. And though some of these screens have previously been revealed before in an Official PlayStation Magazine issue (where producer Steven Ter Heide talked about the possible incorporation of PlayStation Home in the game), Kotaku’s screens were recently reposted on the official PlayStation forums.

Some of the comments in the forum thread had criticized these screens, saying that they were Photoshopped and manipulated to look good. Even Kotaku suggested that the screens were looking “a little too smooth.”

A comment to the PlayStation forums made by one Seb Downie, QA manager for Guerrilla Games, confirms that the screens indeed had, albeit just a little, graphical touch-ups applied to them. Of course, that’s not the whole story… Here’s the full quote from Downie:

They are only the tiniest bit touched up. Short answer is yes. Long answer is that there was a little bit of colour-correction done and some minor polish, but nothing major. Still very close to reality and it looks better in motion in my opinion.
