Hack and slash through Genji: Days of the Blade combat images

Watch the birdie...

Chop Chop Master Onion from Parappa the Rapper was never this cool. While he’s there in his smelly dojo kick-punch-blocking the whole day, Genkuro Yoshitsune is back and he’s toughing it up for the PS3 in the new game by Game Republic, Genji: Days of the Blade. And there’s bound to be lots of evil demons bent to stop him.

This game is all about the fighting. And samurais. And fighting. And a story somewhere in between. And fighting. And demons. And oh, did we mention more fighting sakura leaves? Hah, we kid. But see, honestly though, while all of those are in the game, one of its shining factors really is all the fighting. Heck, think Onimusha goes Dynasty Warriors goes Ninety Nine Nights.

You can choose different characters to play, and each can choose a different weapon. And with each weapon, there’s going to be a whole set of moves and combos that will be available. There’s scores of baddies to slice through, swashbuckling action, explosions and fireballs, and samurai-possessed crabs. So, to prove all this combat funk, we give you more images!
