Still wondering what type of game Halo 3: Recon actually is? That question was answered by Bungie in the December issue of Game Informer.

According to the developer, it’s actually a little of both. Bungie lead designer Paul Bertone described the title as “a three to five-hour expansion pack.” Meanwhile, Joe Staten says they don’t view this as a US$ 60 title. Guess we’re gonna get it for less then.

A few more tidbits include that on the Recon Armor, which will apparently be made earnable for all – just complete the Vidmaster Challenge and it’s all yours. While there are no screenshots to be had in this issue, there is that cool concept art on the cover. You might wanna check that out too.
