Bonafide gamer and Counter-Strike fan Adam Mapleson was released from Southbend Hospital in the UK following an incident where he was shot by two armed robbers in the Rayleigh train station last May 25.

We ran a report on the shooting incident, and while many feared for Mapleson’s life, we’re glad to tell you that he’s out if trouble and he’s being sent home to rest after being cleared by the hospital.

In a report filed by local authorities, it was stated that Mapleson tried to intervene and help the train station’s security personnel in a robbery staged by two armed assailants. Unfortunately, the robbers got away with the cash box and left Mapleson with a gunshot wound in the process.

A tremendous show of support was noticed in online gaming forum Pure Pwnage where online “get well soon” cards have amounted to 14 pages and counting.

Meanwhile, a £25,000 reward has been offered by security firm Loomis for information that will lead to the arrest of the two men responsible for the crime. Authorities are still investigating the matter.
