Infogrames CEO David Gardner: Atari doesn't have room for mistakes - Image 1Speaking with Games Industry, Infogrames CEO David Gardner released a bold statement on the recently rejuvenated Atari company. In terms of doing business and games, he said that they don’t have room for mistakes anymore.

The reason behind this is that Gardner is very well aware of how competition in the gaming market is really tough. New products from Atari must be able to sell in order to it to restart its business.

Furthermore, Gardner said that the step they have to undertake must be able to deliver well to their customers. With this situation, he added that they were ” threading the needle a little bit.” According to him, it’s not easy to recover for small companies when things don’t sell that well.

Having this mindset, the company still plans to release traditional video game products like the latest  Alone in the Dark (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) title set for June. Aside from this, the company is putting effort on their developments on the online realm where it hopes to innovate and create a successful niche.
