Japan’s pricing for Wii games
Game prices on other locations would rarely follow currency conversions but it is still good to know how our favorite titles cost in other parts of the world. In this way, we can always have a rough estimate so as we could prepare the amount once they reach our shores. In a surprise announcement, Nintendo and third parties finally reveal some set of prices for some Wii games in Japan.
At the most, fans would be shelling out a total of 7,140 Yen (U.S. $60) for each of the premiere titles including Necro-Nesia, Bleach, Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel. The same exact amount is the current standard pricing for PlayStation 2 games in Japan. Simpler titles such as Wii Sports and Mahjong Taikai are a treat for 4,800 Yen (U.S.$41).
The following titles would range between 6,090 to 5,040 Yen, and that’s around U.S.$10 savings, on the average, for our Japanese friends.
