Logical loot in World of Warcraft: Zul’Aman

Logical loot in World of Warcraft: Zul'Aman - Image 1

There has always been a call from World of Warcraft players for mobs and bosses to drop logical loot. After all, who wouldn’t want to wield the epic weapons that the bosses drop?

Of course, it should be noted that Blizzard has been slowly doing this with loot, most notably the drops of Illidan in the Black Temple. With the new content that was promised in Zul’Aman, gamers have once again asked that this feature be implemented. Blizzard Poster/ Forum Moderator Drysc has answered this plea and given some pretty good news that you might want to know:

There have always been boss and item design goals to have bosses that drop loot they themselves are wielding. You can see this in Scarlet Monastery, Shadow Labyrinth, and Molten Core, just to name a few. As no itemization for ZulÂ’Aman has been shown to anyone yet, it would be difficult to discuss specific cases where this may occur within the dungeon.

It’s certainly not a new philosophical change though, it’s been there since the game’s release. WeÂ’re still working to provide everyone with an immersive and challenging experience in ZulÂ’Aman, and we hope to be able to share more information in the coming months.

While no details have been given, it should be safe to assume that we will be getting more logical loot in the game judging from the CM’s reply. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing more and more of this, not only with bosses but even with minor mobs.
